Jan-March 2020 we held life skills training and coaching to youth vulnerable of going through radicalization and recruitment to violent extremism to over 30 youth in collaboration with Youth Bila noma. Some of the topics delivered were self esteem and decision making. Through this we saw one youth reforming and going to a rehabilitation centre. He has further rebuilt himself and his worth and is no longer defined by drugs.

2020 December, We brought together over 250 teenage and young adults from Nakuru East Sub-County specifically Nakuru East and Menengai Wards. This was made possible after a 100 bob campaign that led to resource mobilization from the community members and partnerships from other organization including Midrift Hurinet, Siz Initiative Project, Arcadian Counseling Centre, and St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Through this engagement, participants were grouped into age cluster and gender to allow freedom of expression. Some of the topics discussed were Mental Health, Reproductive Health, vision board. All participants both male and female were given dignity packs to help them prepare for school reopening.

10th October 2021 we used sports for development to launch a mentorship program for young men in Madaraka area, Nakuru East Ward. Through partnership with lifesong, cycle 4 fun and Lion’s Club we used sports for development for this activity. We had Lifesong and Cycle 4 fun cycling from Nairobi to Nakuru. Through group discussion, youth shared the challenges they faced and how they would want to make a difference and break patterns.

The mentorship saw close to 30 young men from a low-income area finding a safe space for them to engage without being discriminated. Through this we have had some youth reforming and other expressing their desire to change

During International Adolescents Health Week, March 21-27 2021, a consortium of organizations in Nakuru held a series of events to provide mentorship to adolescents in Nakuru West and East Sub-Counties. This brought to interaction with over 300 adolescents in both sub-counties as well as students from Vera Beauty college.
